Throughout our long history serving the area, the REALTORS® of Central Mississippi have consistently proven their devotion to giving back to the community. Over the years, we have provided relief efforts following Hurricane Katrina, contributed funds to Stewpot Community Services, and helped renovate and stock an art room at the Boys & Girls Club of Central Mississippi. More recently, Central Mississippi REALTORS® sponsored a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the upcoming expansion of Children’s of Mississippi and chose to contribute to Sunnybrook Children’s Home.
This year, Central Mississippi REALTORS® introduces the Kaleidoscope 5K Colorthon. This exciting color fun run event brings the community together in a whole new way. All residents are invited to register to participate in a walking/running/jogging event where non-toxic colored powder is showered down on participants in a rainbow of colors. The colors not only make the event more fun, but they also make for very colorful photos. This year, the net proceeds from this event will be contributed to Sunnybrook Children's Home, helping the next generation have a better life. Anyone can register to participate in the Kaleidoscope 5K Colorthon by registering at http://kaleisoscope.guide. The website also accepts donations directly to Sunnybrook Children’s Home.
Last year marked the inaugural Greens for Dreams golf tournament with net proceeds funding the sponsorship of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Children’s of Mississippi. Although it was storming the day of the golf tournament, 28 four-player teams turned out to play. Between sponsorships and team registrations, we reached our goal of $5000 towards the Children’s of Mississippi sponsorship. More information on the Greens for Dreams Golf Tournament can be found at http://greensfordreams.golf. Central Mississippi REALTORS® welcomes all golfers to register and participate.
The Community Outreach Task Force of Central Mississippi REALTORS® is exploring other ways to help our communities through voter registration and blood drives as well as promoting volunteering efforts to help Boys & Girls Club of Central Mississippi and the YMCA.
